Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the lack of a refrigerator or microwave was inconvenient as I had brought my own food. The view overlooking the reservoir and power station was a nice touch. However, the service left a lot to be desired as promised credits were not received, and there seemed to be issues with competency. The location was convenient for accessing Loop 289 and other main streets, although it was in an 'interesting' part of town. Dining was enjoyable with a variety of options, but the facilities were lacking some key amenities.
Upon arrival around 3 pm, I found the rooms to be big, clean, and equipped with good A/C, but there was a bit of a mess and things seemed disorganized. The service was initially disappointing, with rude and unprofessional behavior when raising concerns about the conditions of the rooms; however, the staff turned things around, from the front desk to housekeeping and even the bartenders in the lounge. The location, although interesting, had lovely surroundings with a small lake and close proximity to the Science Spectrum. The dining experience had its ups and downs with a mix of wonderful dishes one day and a disappointing breakfast the next. The facilities seemed well-kept for the most part, albeit with some issues on the hygiene front.
The hotel is in a convenient location near Texas Tech, shopping, and dining, making it perfect for frequent visits. However, the room had a strong smoke smell despite being non-smoking, which was unexpected and not ideal. The staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable. The dining experience was okay, with some homemade sausages being a highlight, but the facilities lacked modern amenities.
My stay at this hotel was a mix of good and bad experiences. The rooms had a fridge and microwave, but my reservation was lost twice, leading to confusion. The front desk and GM didn't handle the situation well. The service was a letdown, with additional cash deposits required and room mix-ups, though some staff tried to help. The location was convenient though in an 'interesting' area, and the scenery was lovely. The dining was okay but nothing extraordinary. The facilities were average, but the price didn't seem justified.
The hotel had some cleanliness issues in the rooms with blood on the shower curtain, blue hair dye in the shower, and dirt all over the counter. The lack of AC and lock on the door was also a downside. On the positive side, the location was convenient to major streets and attractions, but it was in an 'interesting' part of town.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with a great view of a reservoir and power station, but we had to drive 45 miles to Plainview and back, which was inconvenient. The hospitality was top-notch once we got a room that locked, although there was a funny smell at first. The service left something to be desired as they were overwhelmed by guests and not all friendly.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was great, close to a shopping mall and convenient to main streets, but the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. The staff was helpful and accommodating, making the overall experience better despite some room issues.
After a bit of a rocky start with the room, our stay turned out to be great thanks to the hospitable staff. The location was very convenient to everything we needed, and the dining experience was top-notch. However, there were some issues with the service and maintenance mix-ups which could have been better.
The hotel had some issues with the air conditioning not working and no hot water, but I did appreciate the nice and quiet rooms. It took a while to cool off even with the A/C on high, and we weren't moved to a better room until later in the evening.
My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but there were issues with getting the key to work in the door. Unfortunately, there was a strong smell of smoke in the room, and there was a mix-up that led to another couple being given my room.
